His background across business development, direct-to-consumer sales, and operational execution shaped VerdeVista's approach to evaluating, operating and scaling home service businesses. As Founding Principal, John executes the firm’s mission with the ethos of a blue-collar operator and the institutional expectation of an investor. As former Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, CEO of a private bank, and senior advisor to private equity firms, Carlos has managed over $2B in ultra-high-net-worth portfolios, executed cross-border transactions, and guided organizations through market cycles, restructurings, and strategic growth initiatives across the United States and Latin America. His background in institutional wealth management, capital markets, and financial structuring gives every VerdeVista Partner a higher level of strategic and financial discipline.

As Chairman of the Board, Carlos provides governance, strategic oversight, and long-term value direction. His focus centers around institutional-grade diligence, disciplined risk management, and strategic deal execution. Carlos ensures that every acquisition meets the financial, operational, and structural standards required to build durable enterprise value. As former Vice President of M&A at Corteva and Senior Finance Leader at DuPont, he advised Fortune 50 executives on strategic growth, integrations, and divestitures across complex global portfolios. His background in financial architecture, corporate strategy, and large-scale transaction leadership ensures a high level of analytical and executional rigor grounded in pragmatism.

He has held senior legal roles at Antares Capital, Lazard and BMO Asset Management, where he led legal strategy across complex fund structures, regulatory regimes, and multi-jurisdictional operations.

At VerdeVista, Jeremy oversees legal compliance across all transactions, corporate governance structures, and external law firm coordination. His work ensures every acquisition meets institutional standards for legal clarity, regulatory alignment and risk mitigation, ensuring VerdVista scales with confidence and discipline.

Joe Sauers is a 25-year veteran of the green industry and Co-Founder of Sauers Tree and Landscape and Sauers Snow & Ice Management, a regional leader serving Fortune 500 clients prior to its successful exit in 2024. He brings deep experience in seasonal labor models, operational scaling, and service diversification, having grown and managed crews, routes, and service lines across weather-driven demand cycles. His background as an owner-operator, builder, and seller gives every VerdeVista Partner a practical lens on what it takes to run, grow, and ultimately transition a field-intensive service business.

At VerdeVista, Joe leads operational due diligence, owner support, and field-level strategy across prospective and existing operations. His focus centers on validating capacity, stress-testing staffing, equipment plans, EOS advising, and translating on-the-ground realities into scalable operating models. Joe ensures that legacy businesses are integrated into a professionalized platform without losing what made them successful, giving every Partner a blueprint for profitable, sustainable, execution-driven growth.
