John D. Hernandez, Founder
John D. Hernandez grew up learning firsthand what it means to serve customers the right way. His father, a landscaper for over 30 years, still has the same clients he started with decades ago — a testament to doing good work and standing by your word.
From a young age, John was taught:
"You can have anything you want in this world, as long as you work for it, Son."
He lived by it — working weekends and summers alongside his father, paying his own way through school and college. Over the years, John sharpened his skills — selling everything from used furniture to high-ticket racehorses, running power washing crews, launching startups, and mastering sales and finance.
With VerdeVista, John has brought together a formidable team of seasoned professionals — experts in mergers & acquisitions, landscape operations, and finance — united by a simple mission:
To partner with mom & pop operators, reduce their stress, make them more competitive, and help them create more wealth, especially during challenging times.

Keegan Thottam
Winter Internship Program - 2025
Keegan, an engineering student from Kennesaw State University, joined VerdeVista as a Financial Analyst Intern and immediately made his mark.
Within his first week, he led a business valuation crash course, guiding his peers through DCFs, comparables, and valuation multiples. Keegan constantly sought more responsibility — even during his spring break — embodying the VerdeVista spirit of grit, excellence, and curiosity.
We are honored to name Keegan our first Hall of Fame inductee and wish him continued success as he moves on to his next chapter of growth at Wells Fargo.
Vicente Correa
Winter - Spring - Summer 2025
Vicente joined VerdeVista as a Financial Analyst before rising the ranks to Associate of Strategic Capital. He worked nights, weekends, and holidays without complaint -- sharpening his craft. When his tenure was set to end, Vicente asked for an extension, determined to “squeeze all the juice out of the lemon” and learn as much as possible. That ethos of grit and persistence defined his entire time here.
We are proud to induct Vicente into the VerdeVista Hall of Fame, recognizing his perseverance, growth, and embodiment of the VerdeVista spirit and we look forward to watching what he accomplishes over the next decade.
